Elena Kiannu is an artist and an illustrator, member of Suomen Taitelijat since 2021. She started her artistic career in 2016 from illustration for coffee bags. With time she developed skills in many techniques, such as watercolours, acrylics and oils. Elena carefully collects inspirational pictures of plants for the Botanical Garden collection. Some of them she saw during travels, visits to flower-, food shops or found from the internet. Others are her memories from the garden of her childhood. When she was small her parents had a garden full of different types of vegetation and flowers. Elena spent a lot of time wandering around or helping with collecting barriers and vegetables. The Botanical Garden collection now includes around 20 paintings, and it constantly grows.
